My family and I stayed at Casa de los Cielos in June of 2008 and had the best vacation ever! The house is fabulous! Even though it was pretty hot outside the house stays cool all day and the air conditioners in the bedrooms work great!

The pool area is lovely with lots of foliage and plenty of iguanas, butterflies and capybaras roaming by. We used the kitchen area quite a bit and although it is very compact it was well equipped and spacious enough to have 3 of us cooking in it at the same time.

The beach area is delightful and it was very quiet at that time of year (we pretty much had it all to ourselves!) The water is clear and the sand is clean and it’s only about 100 yards from the house. The house is only about a mile from town, so if you’re up to it, take the walk in and explore the Mayan ruins that are right there in the neighborhood.

All in all our stay in Casa de los Cielos was superb and we will be going back again as soon as we can!

Just got back from a “girls vacation” in Playa del Carmen and stayed at The Villa In Playa. It was WONDERFUL! The house is beautiful and the location of the house was perfect. The pictures don’t come close to showing how beautiful it is..

I look at the pictures we took everyday and relive the great time we had. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The beach at the end of the street felt like our own private beach.

If you look up relaxation in the dictionary it should show a picture of The Villa In Playa. It was truly paradise! Hope to go back and visit again some day.

Dreaming of Playa,

Kay

The house greatly exceeded my expectations. The photos of it do not do it justice. The clean design and modern decor were lovely and had a calming effect. I wanted to go home and throw away 90 % of my earthly possessions. I slept in the bedroom on the third floor. It was like sleeping in the trees. The adjoining porch was a favorite spot to sit at night…that is if I could tear myself away from the pool. We frequently fell asleep pool side. That’s how quiet it is on Coral Negro where the street has avoided pavement and only those who live in the cul de sac drive or cycle by. The Villa In Playa offers many outdoor areas, in fact, more than you’ll ever use. We hosted a party on he rooftop deck, and a cook out by the pool. The rooftop is also a wonderful place for sunrise and sunset over the treetops and for bird-watching. We also liked the bathrooms, spacious and simple. The kitchen met all of our needs. We put it to good use while there. We had a total of eight, plus regular guests and the dinning and kitchen area worked very well.

The location of the house, at nearly the end of Playa Car Fase I, is very desirable. The beach is very close, and although small, the bottom is rock free, compared with other, larger beaches and it is quite private. There are Mayan ruins in the park at the end of Coral Negro and the understated Fisherman’s Village (hotel and condos) is very close, where you can get a taxi to take you to the Wal Mart for groceries, (which are very inexpensive by American standards.)

I wouldn’t hesitate to rent The Villa In Playa again. There are more fabulous homes in Playa Car, but this one is special and once you are there, you will realize that you don’t need anything more than the magic that it offers.

Sincerely,
Jane
